Margosom 0.3% EC contains Azadirachtin as the active ingredient, formulated as a 0.3% Emulsifiable Concentrate (3000 ppm). Azadirachtin is the marker active compound and all other components of neem seed kernel have remained intact in the extract without being fractionated. Azadirachtin extract, actives like nimbin and nimbidin, and all other natural bitter principles, actives, solvent and emulsifiers constitute the formulation composition.
Actives present in Margosom 0.3% EC are surmised to work as an Insect growth regulator and an anti-feedant on adult and nymphs over 300 insect pets.
Azadirachtin doesnt act on central nervous system. It acts on the hormonal system Insects produce ecdysone for moulting and to grow to next instar / stage. Azadirachtin interferes with the ecdysone production thereby tricking the insect into not feeding. This anti-feedant activity starves the pest eventually killing it.
