Annonaceous acetogenins present in AnosomEC impart Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) / Antifeedant properties.
AnosomEC contains Annonin (Squamocin) as the active ingredient, formulated as a 1% Emulsifiable Concentrate (10,000 ppm). Annonin (Squamocin) is the marker active compound and all other components of annona seed kernel have remained intact in the extract. Annona extract, Annona oil, solvent and emulsifiers constitute the formulation composition.
Actives present in AnosomEC are surmised to work as an Insect Growth Regulator / anti-feedant on caterpillars Lepidoptera (Fall Army Worm,Helicoverpa spp, Spodoptera spp) and other caterpillar pests.
Squamocin(Annonin) present in AnosomEC is surmised to have an inhibitory effect on the NADH-cytochrome c-reductase and complex I of insect mitochondria. Annonaceous acetogenins present in AnosomEC have pesticidal and/or insect antifeedant properties.
- AnosomEC effectively controls most of the economically damaging pests such as caterpillars of Fall Army Worm,Helicoverpa spp, Spodoptera sppand other Lepidopteran larvae
- Can be used with conventional chemical pesticides, thus optimizing pesticide usage
